Description
The Greasewood is a very spiny, upright, woody, multi-branched 3-6′ shrub. White branches, topped with bright green finely textured leaves typically have a salt crust on them. Blooms March-August. Grows well in partial shade and well drained, alkaline soils, occuring naturally in lower valley bottoms with seasonally higher water levels. Has noted toxicity to sheep, but not other grazers.
