Description
Often times the FIRST choice for an ornamental grass in the native landscape. 3-5′ tall, and up to 24″ wide, slender, upright, dark green arching leaves with reddish-brown flower spikes emerging June-August. Spikes turn tan in the fall and persist, providing winter interest. Cut back old foliage by mid-February before any new growth has begun. Great choice for the back border in flower beds, along walk ways or even as a privacy screen.
